Gifts for a good cause
Beautiful gift products designed by Jackie Desira — sold to raise money for Crawford House.
The collection
Every design is available now at Cloud Cuckoo in Yarm.
The designer
Ginger 99 was created by Jackie Desira, a hugely talented graphic designer from London. Jackie was a force of nature, with a cheeky mouth and a huge heart. Sadly, Jackie passed away from breast cancer following a fierce fight that she never allowed to dim her light.
“A force of nature, with a cheeky mouth and a huge heart.”
The fighter
Jackie sadly never met her cousin Hudson, but they shared the same huge personality (and cheeky mouth!). They also, sadly, had the shared experience of battling cancer. When Hudson was 19 months old, he was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a form of liver cancer.
Despite being so small, Hudson fought with all his might and is now in remission.
Where the money goes
While Hudson battled cancer at the RVI, his parents were supported by Crawford House, a ‘home away from home’ that allows parents to stay on site at the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI. Crawford House is funded by The Sick Children’s Trust.
Hudson and his parents are selling Jackie’s beautiful gift products to raise money for Crawford House.
Crawford House is one of ten ‘Homes from Home’ run by The Sick Children’s Trust, keeping families together and close by while their child is in hospital.
Jackie’s gift products are available now at Cloud Cuckoo, a boutique gift and homeware shop on the High Street in Yarm.
